Curriculum
Lessons in my studio are based on a strong foundation of theory, technique, and piano repertoire.
Students will also receive instruction in practicing, sight reading, memorization and performance, ear training, keyboard harmony, and music history and appreciation.
Performance Opportunities
Students will participate in one recital or performance class per semester.
Practicing and Preparation
Students are expected to practice consistently and effectively, to consistently pass off technique and theory assignments, and to come to their lessons with assigned pieces or sections learned.
Parental Involvement
Parental involvement is essential to the success of the student. Parents of young students should plan on attending some lessons and assisting in daily practicing.
Equipment
Students must have access to a piano to practice on daily.
